George Haroonian :
As a 3rd generation Oriental rug expert, Mr. Haroonian has operated The Rug Warehouse for over 30 years. He has overseen its growth from a traditional business to a more modern one, while preserving the original values of integrity and quality that were instilled by his grandfather back in Iran.
Mr. Haroonian has traveled extensively to source rugs and to stay current on the latest designs and trends from around the world. In addition to guiding customers on a quest for the perfect rug for their home, commercial project, or a movie set, George has acted as advisor to financial and art institutions in buying and restoring rugs.
Throughout his career, Mr. Haroonian has also been active in local community affairs, with a mission of creating understanding and tolerance among people from various backgrounds. Over the years, he has been a board member and president of several community organizations and ran a community magazine. He was a founding member of the Southern California Rug Dealers Association.
Beyond his business and community commitments, George enjoys travelling locally as well as internationally and spending time with his family.
Gilda Haroonian Nassir:
As the manager, Gilda oversees all operations, from customer relations to merchandising. One of her key roles is working with our designer clients in helping to perfect their project with the right rug or carpet based on style, quality, color and price. She is also strongly involved in purchasing all rugs and carpet for our showroom.
The Rug Warehouse was a strong presence and influence for Gilda Haroonian growing up. Gilda represents the fourth generation, and is the first woman in the family business. Gilda’s role at The Rug Warehouse is a perfect reflection of her love for interior design, appreciation for beautiful flooring, and family tradition. As a child, she spent many hours at the store visiting with family and studying all the new and beautiful rugs in the showroom. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in sociology and obtaining valuable experience in the corporate world, she decided to make her mark at The Rug Warehouse.
Gilda is active in key design industry associations such as ASID and SDSA. She enjoys educating herself and her clients on the latest in interior design trends. In her free time Gilda enjoys traveling and visiting with family and friends.
Antonio Lovera :
Cindy has been the office administrator at The Rug Warehouse since 2006. She oversees customer service, office management, accounting, and inventory management. If you do business with our store, chances are, Cindy will be involved in making sure your transaction goes smoothly.
A fashionista and an avid decorator, Cindy believes an area rug or a carpet can be the single most important purchase for your home. In addition to learning the rug trade, Cindy’s career at The Rug Warehouse has taught her the value of quality and style – two of the core values at the heart of our business.
Cindy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science. She is the youngest of three children and a busy aunt to five nephews and three nieces.
