Goal was to recreate the pallette used by
Moghal court artisans three centuries earlier.
Their handicraft is a true marvel. This
passion has paid huge dividends for all
sorts of clients. From the Design Centers
to finer department stores and moviemakers
to private designers, and individual collectors.
We also have another endearing quality.
You
can say that we came by our trade
naturally. (You might even say we've
been called on the carpet all our
lives.) Because our family traces
its roots to Kashan, Iran, one of
the first rug weaving centers in the
Western World. Kashan is where our
great-grandfather became a renowned
master weaver. And where our grand
father began acquiring fine rugs in
1912 and exporting his personally
selected pieces to Europe, North America
and Japan.(he must have had a premonition
that our father would follow in his
footsteps. Because he left a place
called The West Coast to him. And
us..)
